What is QFIL ?

QFIL stands for Qualcomm Flash Image Loader. QFIL is a windows app which helps you to flash stock firmware on Qualcomm Smartphone and tablets. It is also known as portable application because you don't have to install it on your computer or laptop in order to launch it. Simply Download and extract the zip file and open QFIL.exe when you are ready to use.  QFIl tools only works for Qualcomm Devices only. If you have device which is not powered by Qualcomm Chipset then this tools doesn't help your device.

Note: Before you flashing, do not forget to backup important data and information from your phone. Your Android Phones must have more than 45 percent of battery charged to start the flashing process.

How To Flash Firmware on Qualcomm Chipset Phone Using QFIL Tool.

1. Make sure that you have download and install latest version of Qualcomm USB Driver on your Computer or Laptop.
2. Dowload the Firmware of Qualcomm Chipset.
3. Download the latest version of Qualcomm Flash Image Loder (QFIL) on your computer and extract it.
4. Open "QFIL.exe" application to launch the QFIL (Qualcomm Flash Image Loader)
5. Now, Switch off your Qualcomm chipset phone or tablet.
6. Connect the device to the PC while in EDL(Emergency Download) Mode. Your device should be in EDL before connecting to pc to recognize your USB port other you will see "No Port Available" in QFIL Tool)
7. Under Select Build Type, enable "Flat Build" in QFIL. If there is no such option, just ignore it.
8. Now, click on "Browse" button under Select Programmer to load the firmware (.mbn file extension). Normally, you see file name like this "prog_emmc_firehose_2076_ddr.mbn".
9. Then, Click on "Load XML" button to load .XML files. Note: You will see two column for XML files: one column for file like "rawprogram_unparse.xml " and another for file like "patch3.xml". While loading Rawprogram XML file you will lose or corrupt your EFS / QCN partition, Null or Invalid IMEI, Baseband, Serial Number etc. These would result in your phone being unable to detect your SIM card's network so flash your device at your own Risk.
10. Now, click on the Download button to begin the flashing process. It may takes upto 10 - 15 minutes to complete.
11. Your device will restart automatically once flashing process is completed. Then you will see "Download Successed" message in QFIL tool.
