What is FRP ?

FRP stands for Factory Reset Protection. It is an additional or in-built security feature that was designed by Google to enabled this features if someone tries to hard resets your device. This helps you by permanently lock your device in the case of any unfortunate event like if you lose the device or if any unauthorized person tries to reset your phones. This protection is automatically activated in all android device during the Google account setup process.

How To Know FRP Lock Is Enabled or Not ?

If you see message like this: "This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device" during setup process.  This means your device enabled Factory Reset Protection (FRP). Sometimes device owners also forget their password or email. In this case, If the device owner could not able to sign in their Google Account: Email and Password, he or she may not be able to access their smartphone again.

How To Avoid Factory Reset Protection Lock?

1. If you want to hard reset your phone or you want to sell your android phone to someone else after factory reset, you have to follows these things: Remove all the Google Accounts on your phone. To remove google account, Go to Settings > Account, there you will find an option to remove/delete Google Accounts from you phone or device.
2. If you only know your Google Account username or email, then reset your password. Verify Google account using the new password

In many cases you may be able to reset your account information and log back into your device without an issue, but sometimes this isn't an option.
